The entire world needs healing right now, so it is totally okay if you need immense healing too. The healing process becomes easier as you align your mind, body, and soul. Understand the deep connection between these separate aspects of the human body. Physical actions affect the brain flow just as mentality plays a huge role on physical performance. This gives you power to heal your body through the mind and to heal your mind through the body. Your body contains miraculous healing capabilities when given the proper care. This is why self-care is crucial during these times. What is actually helping you become a better person and what is just an illusion of healing?
Healing is a natural ability that has been encoded in the DNA of all life. The body and the mind are involved in such a delicate relationship. You can directly heal specific parts of yourself with practice. First you must dedicate yourself to the vision of a healthier life. Affirm this to yourself: I am capable of healing and creating a better life for myself.
It is very important that everyone is aware of what needs healing and how to heal. It can be challenging to heal in a toxic environment, but it is possible. Keep calm and practice these 6 guidelines and you will notice a positive shift in your life:
When you take time to yourself, distractions blocked, listen to your body and inner thoughts, you can really get down to the root of your pain. Listen to yourself. How often do you sit in silence? What rules your thoughts? What is your body telling you?
2. Fully Occupy Your Body
Get your brain flowing with an early morning or mid-day exercise. Stretch your body and allow oxygen to flow to every crevasse of yourself. Healthy bodies require movement. Even if you’re in a small space, just get your body moving! You can dance if you want to! Whatever lifts your spirit.
3. Discipline Yourself
Distractions block the healing process, so you need to learn how to block distractions. You should be in control, not an outer source. Set standards for your life and reward yourself when you meet them. Earn your comfort, don’t abuse it. Success requires consistency. Write your goals and be committed to checking the box. Track your progress with a journal.
4. Consume Wiser
Be more mindful of your consumer habits. Think about your purchases and research before buying. Question your cravings. Your desires are connected to your emotions, become aware of what your body actually needs instead of eating everything that comes to your mind. What are you feeling or going through when certain desires emerge? Do my consumptions improve my wellbeing?
5. Use Your Phone With Purpose
It’s easy to get glued into social media. Limit your screen-time and use your phone more purposefully. Aimlessly scrolling can waste a lot of time. Manage your free time by lowering your distractions and raising your intentions. Limiting yourself where its necessary will give you more time to dedicate to your healing and to your purpose. Know when to stop scrolling and start living!
6. Love yourself
Love and care for yourself so deeply that you are fully aware that you are better than needing social media likes and validation from others in order to feel good inside. The only attention you truly need is your own. Practice self love everyday by repeating mantras like: I am worthy of love. I am proud of myself despite my struggles. I am allowed to be myself. I accept myself as I am and I’m still improving.
How can you know what is making you sick if you are consuming too many possible causes? How can you know what is actually making you sad if you are always reacting instead of reflecting? How can you know what your body is capable of if you never give it a chance? Give up habits that are not helping you heal. You can not heal by going back to what hurt you. Healing does not leave you worse off than you were before. Transform your weaknesses into strengths.
Your healing is your responsibility. Face every struggle with a clear mind, balanced body, and proper self-care. You are human, with basic needs and delicate structures. Be open about your pain and what you are doing about it. You are not alone, and you are not doomed. You have the power to heal, and you have the power to rise above fear and panic. Address your deep-rooted problems and re-claim your power. If you have a pulse, you have a purpose. Don’t let anything block you from your purpose.
